2010 Tour has ended, $1k to Cystic Fibrosis!

The big day has passed, and what a day it was! It was beautiful weather and we had a great crowd!  Roughly 200 people came to see the homes, and we were able to raise enough to not only cover costs and beef up our Crieve Hall Cares fund, but to donate a whopping $1,000 to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation!

The CFF is now gearing up for their GREAT STRIDES Walk at the Nashville Zoo.  You were able to find out details at the tour, and now we have a Crieve Hall team!  If you want to be on it, please sign up here.  It's under the name of the CHC Committee Co-chair, Brooke Vigerust.  More details on the GREAT STRIDES walk at the bottom of this post!
For those of you who didn't get to go (and those of you who did), for your enjoyment, here is a slideshow of all the homes!  Thank you to Stephanie Hambley of Stephanie Marie Photographie for taking pictures of all the homes:

Some comments from attendees:

This was the first year I've done the tour and I thought it was AMAZING - it flowed so well, and the homes were beautiful! Great job to you and everyone who made it happen!! ~Kim Strickland

Hi! My name is Blake. I am a “CF sister”, volunteer and current Board President of the CFF’s TN Chapter. I wanted to take a moment to extend my sincere thanks to you! ...we have YOU to thank for arranging for the CFF to receive some of the proceeds from Crieve Hall’s tour of homes. What a wonderful idea and gracious gesture!

Although I live just outside of Crieve Hall, I spend a great deal of time in that area and just love it... the neighborhood of Crieve Hall recognizing the CFF as a part of the community means a great deal to me, both personally and as a CFF volunteer.

Many, many thanks for your support!
Sincerely,
Blake
Thank you, thank you to all of the homeowners and volunteers that helped make the Tour happen this year. Each year is a stepping stone to an even better event, and we have had fun getting to know our neighbors and touring some beautiful houses! I'm honored to be a part of this community, and I'm thrilled to see how we've all taken pride in our homes and our neighborhood!

In light of the rainy weather lately, this is a perfect time to spotlight Crieve Hall Cares.  The Crieve Hall Neighborhood Association really has some great resources to help people out, and we really need to remember this in times of disaster.  We've just updated the CHC website with the latest information on who to contact to get organized and help our neighbors out.  Please check this out--we need volunteers and we need to know how we can help you!

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a devastating genetic disease that affects tens of thousands of children and young adults in the United States . Research and care supported by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is making a huge difference in extending the quality of life for those with CF. However, we continue to lose precious lives to CF every day. That's why your help is needed now more than ever to ensure that a cure is found sooner - rather than later. To learn more about CF and the CF Foundation, visit www.cff.org.
Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those with CF! Thank you for supporting the mission of the CF Foundation and GREAT STRIDES!
